O.Speaking of flood control in Cameron County, every one In the county ought to say “Amen” to the effort* about to be made to get a bill through this session of the legislature for the remission of 35 cents ad valorem tax for 25 years, then vote a bond issue for a million and a half dollars, which is about what this tax remission will amount to, and which will enable this glt;»t-to-l *vdoue work to be done.Hidalgo county put over the same program, and its up to Cameron to get busy and do it quickly, or the flood waters of Hidalgo will be dumped down upon us. Hidalgo can t be I ot he red with the flood water after they have turned it from their county. Cameron had better be bothered about it liefore a flood comes, or it certainly will be when it does couie. Representative Faulk was elected on a Flood Control platform and will see it through, but he has got to have a lot of help from we folks here at home, and he had better get it, too.
