Lieut. Ford became n oorrct-pondent of tho Democrat years ago, when a more boy, and continued suob until he received his mortal wound. While a roomberof tho 41st Regimen*. he also corresponded regularly with the Cleveland Herald. Ilis letters were always spirited and original, and were read with intercat by all, and especially by thone who have friends in the army.
