A Delphi man was injured in a motorcycle accident on US421, four miles south of Delphi, on Dec. 31 at 12:37 a.m. An investigation determined that a 1985 Honda Prelude driven by a 17-year-old male from Kokomo, was traveling north on US421 and entered the southbound lane, colliding with a southbound motorcycle. Upon impact, William Batley, 24, Delphi, was thrown from his 1976 Kawasaki motorcycle. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital and later transferred to Methodist Hospital in Indianapo lis. The other driver and a juvenile passenger were transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Kokamo, and later were released to their parents. Carroll County Sheriff's Deputy John Chapman investigated and all information has been turned over the Carroll County Prosecutor. Indiana State Police Trooper Scott Andrew and Carroll County. Emergency Medical Service assisted.
