Sylvia CampbellSylvia Henrietta Campbell, 80, Bowman, died Tuesday Jan. 4, 1994, at the Sunset Care Corporation in Bowman. Funeral services will be held Friday Jan. 7, at 10 a.m. at the Sunset Care Chapel with the Rev. Galen Strand officiating. A committal service will be held Monday Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bremerton, Wash., the Rev. Michael Martin officiating.Sylvia Waller was born Nov. 21, 1913, at Amidon, Slope County, a daughter of Henry P. and Serine (Presting) Waller. She was reared in Amidon and lived at Buffalo Springs for three years. She spent a year at Lone Tree and later moved back to Amidon. She received her education at Amidon. During high school, they moved to Spokane, Wash., in 1936. She married Gene Campbell at Spokane, Wash., in 1940. She was a homemaker and worked for a time at a boarding house and restaurant. In 1942, Shirley Ann was born and they moved to Bremerton, Wash. In1945, Everett was born and died of luekemia in 1949. Her husband died in 1970. She remained in Bremerton for a year though she was confined to a wheelchair due to multiple sclerosis. She chose to move back to North Dakota w here she spent several months in St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Dickinson. She moved to the Sunset Home in Bowman in January of 1972 where she resided until the time of her death.She was baptized and confirmed at the Lebanon Lutheran Church at Amidon. She was a member of the Bowman Lutheran Church and was active in her faith. She enjoyed sewing, drawing, painting and doing crafts. She also enjoyed baseball in her later years.She is survived by: a daughter, Shirley Ann Presting of Mukilleo, Wash.; a brother. Art Waller of Marmarth; a grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, six brothers and three sisters.
