RAYMOND McKINSTREYFuneral services for Raymond McKinstrey, 76, of Orleans was held on Friday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. from the Donovan-Leyson Chapel in Spirit Lake, with the Reverend Reuben Ehlen officiating at the services. Mr. McKinstrey passed away at his home in Orleans on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1975.Raymond McKinstrey was the youngest son and child of Hugh Joseph . and Emma Peterson McKinstrey, bom on May 28, 1899 at Linn Grove, Iowa. The early part of his life was spent in Buena Vista County and he attended school at Sioux Rapids, Iowa. Later the family moved to Dickinson County, where he lived the remainder of his life.On January 29, 1933 he was united in marriage to Vera Schroeder at Spirit Lake. To this union, one son was bom.Ray was confirmed as a member of the Lutheran Church in Tenril in 1934.For the past two years, hisillness kept him confined to hisbed and he passed away at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 16.He is survived by his wife,Vera; one son, Don Lee of SpiritLake, three grandchildren ofSalt Lake City, Utah; onebrother Harry of Albert City,Iowa; one sister, Mrs. AgnesArmstead of Madelia, Minn.,and several nieces and nephews.
