B. Sanders of Columbus and Waco reading the marriage lines. They were married December 30, 1909 at Terryville, DeWitt County the late Rev. E. W. White officiating.Their children are Marcellus Giles of San Antonio, Russell and Cornell Giles of Houston. Leslie Giles of Blythe, Calif, and Alanzo Giles.More than 75 guests registered during the appointed hours, with out-of-town friends and relatives coming from Cuero, Victoria, Houston, Waco, Columbus, San Antonio, Blythe, California, Sweet Home, Hillsboro, Hochheim and Edna.The living room and dining room and other vantage points throughout the house were ap-oointed in the traditional solded taffeta cloth overlaid with1 a matching full skirted net cloth. The edges of the cloth were draped with folds of net caught at interval# with a spray of lily-of-the valley and white satin ribbon bows and streamers. Centering the table was the beautiful three tiered colonade wedding cake iced in white and detailed with gold blossoms, love birds, white wedding bells accented with deft touches of gold, and nestling in white satin and tulle. Topping the cake w-as a decorated heart shaped arch from w’hich hung wedding wells encircling the gold symbol “50”. White candles in silver holders were flanked on either side of the table.The silver tea service reposed at one end of the table where Mrs. Robert Newton poured coffee. At the opposite end of the table Mrs. Steve Goodson presided at the silver punch bowl. Cake was served by Mrs. Oscar Wimbush of Cuero.The buffet held a beautiful arrangement of large bronze mums that added to the impressive beauty of the setting.Misses Vickie and Mickie Giles, granddaughters of the couple received gifts and presided at the guest register, respective-
