Buckeye sure is having fine weather, but there is lots of sickness around the country. Some of these items are a little late, but Eyes and Ears was off on a trip and I didn’t get any in last week. Mrs. Mary Crissman Bowers, of Sal ins, spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Crissman. The Christmas tree exercises at Skunk Hallow was well attended and everybody was well remembered by the committee. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Lamb and family of Plainville spent Christmas at Wit Gossers. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Balls entertained all their family on Christmas. Mer. and Mrs. Will Bellman spent their Christmas holidays in Russell. Miss Brewer of Hays visited with Ruby Gosser several days. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Luce ate Christ mas dinner with Chas, Gosser and family. Mary Blender and family spent Christ mas day with her brother, Will Hagen, near Ellis. Alice Miller,of Lawrence, who has Born to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Crenshaw, a baby girl, New Years night. The Joys gave a surprise dance for Andrew Jensen, Friday night, in his new house. It is said they danced un til an early hour Saturday morning. _ Jim Peterson’s baby has been very sick, but glad to hear she is much bet ter. Mr. Robert Joy is sporting a new Studebaker car. Jasper Saunders has been quite sick the past few days. Mrs. Lucie Felton was out to the butchering at Will Gosser’s, Wednes day. oat Crenshaw is reported on the sick ist. Obley’s butchered Monday. Quite a number of the usual crowd had the grippe but several were present any way. ‘Theodore Gosser is reported on the sick list this week and had to miss’ ‘school. Hans Jensen went to Kansas City Sunday night Jessie Gosser and friend visited with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Davis, Friday. Mr. Payne helped Mr. Montgomery butcher, Tuesday. Frank is always right there at butchering time. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Replogle spent Christmas with Mrs. Replogle’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Crissman. Miss Lucile Felten spent a few days with Lula Gosser last week. Pearl McIntosh visited during the hol idays with her many relatives. ' Mary Blender butchered, Friday of it last week, and quite a number of the usual crowd was there. ‘Mrs. Chas. Gosser was called to Oak ly the last of the week on account of Mrs. Low Gosser being quite sick. ‘All the holidays are over the kids have gone back to school and Buckeye will have peace for awhile. Everybody has the grippe; if you haven't had it, get ready for it cause its coming right your way. Eyes and Ears wants to warn the boys in Buckeye that it is now Leap Year and they want to be on the watch ,for you never know who, where or when.
