LAKE VILLA HOSPITAL CLOSED.Dr. D. F. Dumas, One of the Proprietors, Files Petition In Bankruptcy and Leaves for Minneapolis. Liabilities, $600. —No Assets.Dr. D. F. Dumas, through his attorney, J. G. Skinner, has filelt;l a petition in bankruptcy and left Wednesday for Minneapolis. The liabilities amount to alwut $600 with no assets in sight. Dr. Dumas came to this city about a year ago and opened an office in the new Century block. Last month, he and B. Barnes, of this city, leased of Skinner Edwards the Lakeview Villa property and fitted it up for hospital purposes. The Villa was elegantly equipped with furniture and the most approved hospital fixtures, and the management issued some advertising with the evident intention of conducting an up to-date establishment. Bat that seems to be as far as they went, and now Dr. Dumas has gone into voluntary bankruptcy.It is understood that the claim of the Minneapolis firm from whom the hospital equipment was purchased bad been satisfied by a bill of sale of the fixtures, and that Skinner Edwards’ rent account was also covered in a similar manner.Mr. Barnes has been in South Dakota the past week attending to his collection agency matters, and it is not known how he will be affected by the » Dumas bankruptcy proceedings. i
