Police Department Starts Year With New EquipmentThe Baker police department is entering 1960 with a revamped police reception room, newJRiamh-ler patrol car, finger printing system, criminal photography unit, and bulletin boards. The police department is now in a position to serve the community with, the facility of- Applicant Finger Print Cards, which, recorded with the FBI, may serve as a means of indetification in case of accidents which might render -a victim speechless or unconscious, or in a state of- amnesia.Police officer, Bernard Brost, emphasized that accidents occur-ing within the city limits are to, be reported, to the ipolice immediately, according to city ordinances: This will assist in better control of traffic problems.Traffic violations during the past two weeks include the following; Clarence Heiser, fined $10.00. Bill Dilsaver, 26Kerwanee oareful and prudent manner, and Theodore Bra-un, Jr., on the same charge, both on December 12. John W. Hufford and a juvenile, committed the -.same negligance resulting iri the same fine, December 17. Another Juvenile failed to observe the stop sign on Mali and Railroad Avenue and was .fined' $10.00.
