Today marks the one hundredth anniversary of the birth of Hon. Harrison Johnston, and the Commercial joins his numerous friends in expressing the hope that he may live to see many, more birthdays. Mr. Johnston has been a citi zen of Columbus for seventy four years, and during that time has been connected with some of the city’s most impor tant commercial and industrial enterprises. He founded the Mis sissippi Cotton Mills, and for some time was a stockholder in the Columbus Clothing Company. Mr. Johnston is today the oldest ske in the United States, being a member of Lodge No. 855, of this city. Members of hie family and a ‘number of guests will gather around this festa board at 10% relock today and unite in ested ling congratulations for enqtiued good health and give expression to the hope that there wil be other happy returns of the day Mr. Johnson attributes his long life to temperate and revelal hab its Iless genial, optimistic, al ways cheerful, and no one would judge from his appearance ‘that he has reached the cen tury milepost.
