Normal School Silt*.The contributions by citizens of I the town aggegate about $2,000 exclusive of the liberal sums given by the Consolidation Coal and Cumberland and Pennsylvania railroad companies, as very many of the men working in the Ocean, Kckhart, Borden and Carlos mines are residents of the town. To them and to the noble miners who are contributors without lit*111 residents much gratitude is due.Through some oversight the Cnion, New York and Hoffman miners were not given an opportunity to help.A copy of this paper has been laid aside for preservation in the corner* stoue of the edifice.At the meeting of the State Board of education Thursday all the members except the governor were present, and the JiH’KN'Ab is further informedthat——tlie plans originally submitted are certainly above the figure. Each architect was present and withdrew his plan for modi Heat ion and submission later this month. The Board promised to get to work ip once.
