POHLMANN.Last nigbt at 10 £o’olock the residence, SOS West'Eighth^street, of the deceased occurred the death of Herman Berwald Poblmann the well known brick maker whose business is located on Marquette street.The cause of Mr, Pohlmann’s death was pneumoniaa and acute enteritis. He was taken sick about three weeks ago. At the time it was. thought that he had nothing more than a severe attack of the grip but complications set in and though the best medical aid in the city was procured he gradually grew worse until the end came.Mr. Pohlmann was born here io Davenport Aug. 2*1, 1S65, and was therefore in bis thirty-first year. He svas the son of Herman B. Pohlmann, Sr., the highly respected brick maker, on Marquette street from whom the deceased learned his trade. He continued in the employ of his father until about two years ago when he gave his business over to' his two sons Herman and Henry. Since then the business has been known under the firm name of Pohlmann Bros.The deceased was a hard working young man aud paid close attention to his business matters. He was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him as honest and straightforward in all matters. He drew around him a wide circle of friends who with his bereaved family mourn his death.Deceased is survived by his wife Mrs. Elizabeth. Pohlmann and four children, Herman Bernard, aged 6, Bertha Otilda, aged 5; Rosa Mary, aged 3, and' Charles Theodore, aged 12 months. Besides be is also survived by his father and mother, three sisters, Mrs. Theodore Brusch, Mrs. John H. Otten, Mrs. John Reese, and three brothers, Henry, Frank and John, all residing in this city.The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 o’clock at §t. Joseph’s church. Interment in ^ ' ly Family
