Public Cemetery.The representatives of the various congregations met nt Mr. .T. P. Mitchell’s oillee on Dec. 22nd, and confer-icd on the various loc.itions. It was mentioned that Mr. McYVhirter had written to Mr. McCord (who was then in Scotland,) with a view of ascertaining his mind on the subject of selling ten or twelve acres for a public cemetery. Pending his reply and the procuring of a patent for Mr. Cruick-shunk’s land, it was agreed to defer any further action.
