Councilman Earl D’Amico is one of the small handful of men credited with “New Look” Joliet. D’Amico succeeded over a period of years in bringing together Joliet bankers and businessmen with Sheraton Hotel executives and establishing the new Sheraton D'Amico Inn for downtown Joliet.The forty-one year old hotel and restaurant executive was bom in Joliet and earned diplomas at Joliet Township High and Purdue University.
