He had been ailing* for the past year and while not confined to his bed, was not able to be out a great deal. He took suddenly ill Thursday evening following supper and a physician was called. Later he chilled severely and when the fever came up, he died.He was a soldier of the Union , in the civil war. He leaves a widow, three sons, James, Alva1 and William, and one daughter, : Mrs. Cos Proctor. jIn the war he served in Co. A, j ** 19th Kentucky Infty. serving four years. He was born in Pulaski.
