The silver cord is loosed. The first spoke of our wheel is gone, and our dear one will be with us no more. Little Russell was a fa vorite of everybody, but on Friday the 16th of December, at 11 o’clock, his young spirit took its flight, and wandered away to his happy home, before the smile that his presence had awakened had van ished from our faces. We stop and wonder if it can be true that he who was so perfect and beauti ful can be gone from us. It is needless to speak of how we loved little Russell, but God has chosen him for his own. But though this bright star has burned out, the sweetness that lived in him will continue to shine upon us angl to to dwell in many hearts on earth With a smile and wave of the hand he wandered into the land of Glo ry, so we therefore extend our deepest sympathy to the dear ones left behind, and with them, say, through ‘sorrow or through joy, Conduct me as thine own. ‘And keep me still to say, My Lord, Thy will be done.
