Death of Mathias Morgan.After a short illness of only two weeks duration Mathias Morgan died yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock, aged about 79 years.Mr. Morgan was born in the parish of Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland, in Dec. 1814, and came to America in 1839 and lived at, Binghatnpton, New York, for some years where he learned the atone cutters trade. From there he went to Susquebauna county, Fa., where he was married in 1848 to Miss Patience Maher who surviyes him. The following year in company with his brother, the late Patrick Morgan, engaged in the business of taking contracts for railroad building which he followed more or less up to 1872. The last railroad work he did was on what is called the Volga liyer branch in Clayton county.He was the father of eight children, Jas. W. who died last July at Hawar-«lin, la *, Thos.
