Dr. J. A. Butte was selected Chairman and J. M. Terrell Secretary of the meeting.Nominations being in order the name of Dr. E. J. Morgan for Mayor was placed in nomination by Hons. Bon. E. Russell, endorsing the old Board of Aldermen for their faithful performance of duty, and ! asking that they serve another term was unanimously carried, but the old Board ' declined with thanks through Hon.
