Lee Fosque was hostess at a linen shower Tuesday afternoon, also complimentary to Miss Waples.Six boxes were shipped this week from the Eastern Shore Chapter Red Cross, the work of thd. chapter and its branches. The wool and needles have arrived and may be had by communicating with Mrs. John P. L. Hopkins.- The call for socks is especially urgent and appealing.Miss Bertie Lee Waples and Mr. Tully Page Parker were married at the home of the bride’s father,Capt. Samuel T. Waples, Thursday morning at 11 o’clock. Key. L. T. Reed officiating. The bride was gowned in a tailored suit of blue novelty cloth with grey shoes, and gloves. She had as her maid of honor her cousin, Miss Sabra Waples. Mr. Clarence P. Custis was Mr. Parker’s best man. After a wedding break-Mr. and Mrs. Parker left for a trip to the northern cities. They will reside in Onancock.
