D. 1876, pursuant j ilt;bto call, and was called to order by i the chairman. Present, all the members ; j except Mr. Wylie. The minutes of the last day’s proceedings of the Sept. term, 1870, were read and approved.Mr. S. J. Baird presented a certificateof his appointment as Supervisor forthe town of Hopkins, in place of John ; t() J. Buyers removed from said town,and on motion of Mr Wallace was ad-admitted as a member of the Board.Bills, petitions and communications ware presented and referred to the proper committees. The clerk presented a list of persons entitled to pay for election services. Mr. Nevittmoved that the judges and clerks ofelection be each allowed for one day’s extra service. Mr. Whallon moved to amend so as to allow |1. 50 extra, which was accepted bv Mr. Nevitt.Mr. Patterson moved to amend the amendment so as to allow for one extra dav in thoe towns where more than 500 votes were cast, and all othersbe allowed for one-half day extra each.By request of Mr. Whallon the matter whs laid over one day under the rule. Mr. Patterson moved that the Board proceed to select grand jurors for theM.*reh term,1877,of the circuit court.
