Mr. Rose plain ly told us that he did not expect to build a Railroad via, or throwgh Marshall, giving at the same time some of the reasons, which we omit giving, [t is also unders'od that he, Mr. Rose, prefers the line lately surveyed by Sh. Bason, which line runs within a half mile of Darwin, in Clark county and other counties to Highland, and thence to St Louis Myr. Rose places bat little value on county stock. It takes money to build railroads, and without it they cannot be built. Mr. Rose and others does not ask of us on this one county Stock, and further Mr. Rose is preparing Sia's ties, with estimates of the Roul to submit to equalists and others interested in short and th reet rail road line from New York and other cities to St Louis. St ig-Aleo unerstood that the Terre Haute andndianapolis railroad will extend and biid their road to the closing of the Wabas R iver, near Darwin. Are you the voters of this county willing to involve us all in a debt of one hundred thousand dollars, with eght per cent interest until paid and commissions of collecting the same; which will amount to Two hundred thousand Dollar; and perhaps more. We ask you to remember the losses on the Valley road.
