Death of ttcdmoad HandMr. and Mr*. Patrick Hand received word yesterday that their son, Redmond, died Dec. 29 of last year at Fair bank, Alaska. He was born on his father’s farm in Brule township, this county, in 1871 and when nineteen years old went to Grand Forks, N. D., where be worked on a railroad for some years, afterwards goto; to Kalis-pell, Mont.. where be learned the trade of tngioeer. He visited his parents here about four years ago and then weot to Roasiand, B. C., soon after going to Alaska and obtained employment as engineer In the Mines at Fafr-bank, which position he held at the time of his death. There being no communication with Fair bank, except by telegraph, his body will be temporarily interred there and brought here in the spring.
