THE ALLIANCE MF MEET.A Urgv OUhfrins of Hnrny-HwtlfdTbe Alliance men held an important lt;meeting in the Grand Jury room at the court house yesterday. Over a hundred delegates were present, representing the Alliance* of Muscogee, Harris. Talbot, Taylor, Marion and Chattahoochee conn tU(.'apt. N. G. Oatls, of Muscogee, pr»'*ic?ed at the meeting, and Capt. Cbas. R Iligts, of Russel!, acted as secretary. Reporters were not admitted to the meeting. It is understood that it was held for the pur pose of making arrangement* to secure i supplies for the members of the several t Alliance*, and also to make arrange- I menls to secure capital to e*ub- i lisb a warehouse in Columbus for the stor- lt;age of cotton. These com I mil tees will make their report at another meeting of the Alliance men, which will N» held at the Court Ilouae iu this city on tbe 15th instant.In conversa ion with a reporter a prom inent member of ihe Alliance said: We prefer to trade in Columbus and will do our best to secure tne necessary capital nere, but if we cannot g#*t the right terms we will co elsewhere.’* It is understood i I that the Alliance MB ou the Mobile and Girard road, the Columbus and Western, the Georgia Midland and the Columbus and Kune roads * are satisfied with the arrangements that can (e made in Columbus, but that a prominent member ot the Talbot county Alliance is using his influence to carry the combined trade of the Alliances to another market.A resolution was adopted authorizing the chairman of one of the committees to insert an advertisement in the Kn^uikkk-1 Sun, inviting correspondence with merchants or capitalists able to control f-250,-000 capital.
