Humphrey Evans, -an old naan whose wife died last week in St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, expired on Wednesday in the Free Hospital, Gray’s Inn-lano.| The Queen has again sent Dr. Jenner to visit the sufferers by the Clerkenwell explosion who are lying in the Royal Free Hospital. The “rA ir“na-whose care the patients have been since their admission to tho hospital, states that the eyesight of th® boy Arthur Abbott is entirely gone, and some of tho wounds of the other patients are suppurating in consequence of the gluss and dust that have been dri ven into them.Tho inquest on the two persons who have died in the Royal Free Hospitul from injuries received at thq explosion in Clerken well was resumed on Friday, December 27. A great part of the evidence taken was the same as that which was given before Mr, Payno. There were, however, some noteworthy additions. First, all tho witnesses who saw tho fuse in. the barrel of gunpowder fired said that tho man who fired it was not among tho prisoners who wore in custody. Next, Police-constublo M^riurty, who saw the fuse burning, was able to give evidence. Hedescribes tho fuse as blazing out with a blue flamerally progressing favourably.
