Odessa man still missingAn Odessa man, reported missing Dec. 23, has still not been located, according to Presidio County Sheriff Rick Thompson.Rene Alvarado Acosta, 27, was last seen at about 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 23 in Odessa. Witnesses there told officers Acosta was trying to find someone to ride toMarfa with him so he could visit his family.A pickup registered to Acosta was found abandoned two mileseast of Marta on U.S. Highway 90. A search of the area by officers on foot, in vehicles and byair failed to reveal any clues as to the whereabouts of Acosta.Odessa authorities arecooperating with Presidio County officers in an attempt to locateAcosta.Sheriff Thompson has asked anyone having any information at all about Acosta to please contact his office in Marfa.
