CINCINNATI POLICE HOT AFTER MAN OR MEN WHO KILLED MISS ANNA LLOYD WAS CRIMINALLY ASSAULTED Before Murdered; Desperate Woman Struggled With Assailant, Pulled His Hair, Found Clench*d in Hand, By Associated Press. CINCINNATI, Jan. 3.—With two men held on suspicion in connection with the brutal murder of Miss Anna Lloyd here Saturday the police are today continuing the search for her mur derers. Two men were arrested yes terday and are now in the hands of the police. Henry Cook, a white man, and James Fields, a negro, were arrested. Arrest at Wyoming. The police at Wyoming this morning arrested a man who gave his name as Lewis. The prisoner has long hair which corresponds in length and tex ture to that found clenched In the dead woman's hand. Story of Murder. With her throat cut and her mouth gagged, the body of Miss Anna Lloyd, aged 36 years, secretary of the Wil borg-Hanna Lumber company, was found in a lonely fort of the city Satur day afternoon. The woman had been assauled before her murder. Miss Lloyd's body was found , by two boys and the snow in the neigh borhood showed that a terrible strug gle must have occurred before the wo man was overcome. It was trampled and stained with blood for several yards. When found the dead woman had clenched in her hands an amount of the hair supposedly from the head of her assailant. The hair was long and of fine texture. With this as the only clue the ablest detectives of the city were at once placed on the case with the result that three persons have already been arrested. This crime is the fourth of a series of similar outrages which have oc curred in the same vicinity in the last three years. At intervals during that time the bodies of three young women have been found within a radius of a couple of miles of the spot where Miss Lloyd's body was found. Although the entire city detective and police forces have worked on these cases, they have never been able to locate the perpes trator.
