WILL ITS,L. Vesta, youngest daughter of J. H, V. WltlitB, of La Harp©, Kan., died Wednesday, Leo. 25, 11)01, at the residence of her grand parents, Mahlon and Lydia Green, of Bangor township, after an Illness of out week of peritonitis, aged 16 years, 9 months and 17 days.Her sickness began at New Provb donee whore she was attending the academy. Her condition grew rapidly worse and she lived but a few days after being brought to her grand parents home, who have cared for her since her mother’s death in 1889. She leaves her father and sister Grace, of La Harp, and brother Earl, who resides with his grand parents at Bangor.Vesta wan a lovable and noble girl, just blooming into womanhood,with every prospect of a long anduseful life. Besides the loving home circle there are many friends.schooL mates and neighbors who will long for the “Touch of a vanished hand, and the sound of a voice that is stilled.” But the sorrow is “not as those having no hope,” for she claimed salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.The funeral conducted by Rev. A, D. Klnzer, of Marion, was held at Bangor Friends church on Friday and was largely attended by relatives and friends.
