It woa decidedly the largest and most enthusiastic village gathering we hnvc witnessed here, and would that matters of more import than that which called them together on this occasion would elicit a like interest.The principal matter under coiisidar ntion was the name of the town, and after some exchange of sentiment, pro and con, it was concluded that the place waa now of sufficient importance to have a name; it now having four proprietorship, each of which had s different recorded name, and the whole concern known by the appellation of “Section Ten, which it received from the number of the division of tho Canal during its construction, and before the town had a being.The ancient name of Delpuos was agreed upon by a large majority as an appropriate and agreeable one, and Legislative action solicited to aid in carrying inle effect the desired change,^-Section Ten Budget._
