Snow, of the I* house of Foote Co., of this city, nnd who had started the day previous on a t- trip to Niles, Michigan, had been killed II within '.wo miles of Monmouth, 111., by ' the upsetting of the siagc. Two of our citizens immediately started for Moult mouth, and shortly after their departure i- the painful rumor was fully confirmed, f*! The accident occurred on Friday night, about ten o’clock, and was ciused by the n lead hor.-cs becoming suddenly frightened I* and wheeling from the road, by which r the stage was thrown over upon its left - side. Mr. Snow was sitting beside the [0 driver, who was also severely injured 19 It is presumed lhal the deceased was pre-ci pita ted from the box upon bis bead, to the body ol the coach falling upon him n» and crushing his breast.
