«_ IAlso, made a report on the petition of Jno. Law’, Lucius II. Scott, and others, with reference to their contract with the State to complete a certain portion of the Centra] canal to the town of Lamasco, (to the banks ol Pigeon creek.) The report states that the consideration i'or which Law, Scottdc McCall, gave a mortgage on their property having failed, recommend the passage of a bill to release the mortgage given by them to the State, and providing that the suit against them be dismissed; read and passed to a .-sreond reading.
