‘One of the changes ‘in the business world of Attica at the very beginning of the new year, is the purchase of an interest by Russell Robinson of the James A. Coffing undertaking and furniture establishment on ‘South Per ry street. In this sale is also included the branch store, at Newtown. This is the happy consummation of the expressed desire of Mr. Robinson to get into the business game and the result of Mr. Coffing’s gratitude and confidence in a young Man who has been in his employ for the past four teen years and who has faithfully, loyaly and painstaking, done his work all this time. The many friends of both gentlemen congratulate them upon the happy combination ‘which they have made. James A. Coffing has ‘been conduct ing the present business for the past twenty-three years, and by his guilt edge business principles and his splendid qualifications for geniality and fair and square dealing, has built up a lucrative business, that extends over a territory of a radius of thirty miles. Russell Robinson, the new acquisi tion to the firm, has been with the house for fourteen years, going to the establishment when a mere youth. In fact, he has grown up with the busi ness, has become “a living part of it, and ‘it 'was owing to this fact that Mr. Coffing was influenced to make his decision. Both gentlemen are thorough adepts at the undertaking business and are licensed embalmers and are therefore amply qualified to take care of this part of their trade. The establishment during the latter years has been pushing the trade in Edison and Victrola phonographs, pi ano players and radio outfits, and has’ built up a wonderful ” patronage in these lines, having distributed these instruments in great numbers in Atti ca and surrounding territory. But with the new year and the new firm the furniture end of the business will probably be brought to the front and they will put in a first-class stock of furniture that will interest the people in this vicinity. The new firm, Coffting Robinson, will be busy invoicing in the Attica and Newtown houses for the next few days, after which the business will be pushed. to its fullest extent, with all its old time vigor and principles of fair and square dealing to all patrons, the principles that have ‘won for this house a reputation well known, all over this part of the Hoosier state.
