Hon. W. T. Rawleigh, of this city, head of the W. T. Rawleigh in dustries, has received word to the effect that on the second Monday of January there will be a meeting of the presidential electors from the state of Ilinois. This date happens to be that of the inauguration of the new governor, so this will be a part of the diversion offered the men who will attend. Mr. Rawleigh was selected as the republican presidential elector for this congressional district in the presidential election last fall, and as the republican electors for Ilinois were successful at the polls, they will meet at Springfield and cast their ballots for Hughes and Fairbanks, the republican candidates for presi dent, and then one of their number will be selected by lot to carry the returns of the Ilinois vote to Wash ington.
