CHRISTMAS AT NORTH VIEW.Nice Party At Mr. Rufus Throckmorton's Friday Night—Plenty to Eat, But Very Quiet Time.North View, Dec. .'10.—As raylust letter found its way to thewaste basket, I have held off fromwriting for fear of that terriblereceptacle. (We are very sorry. It was misplaced, and we couldn’tfind it.— Reporter.)Christmas has come and gone jwith its attendant joys andfrolics. Why should people onthis of all days u.ake gluttons ofthemselves, or why should theythink it necessary to get drunk? Our community has had a very quiet Christmas. |Christmas trade has been good, jso say the merchants. jMr. Cl. II. Moore has been sickfor several days. Hope he willsoon be up and about. Two of Mr. T. H. Priddy’schildren are right sick, we aresorry to say.Mr. Willie Priddy, of RuralHall, is visiting relatives in thissection for a few days. With plenty to eat, and bigcrops of corn and big hogs to kill, the people of this neighborhoodhave not yet felt the panic. Now,suppose that there had been ashortage of food products, wherewould we have been when WallStreet tried to blast the wholecountry for its delectation ?The young peopie of this community had a nice party at Mr. Rufus Throckmorton’s Friday night. Among the number were Misses Bessie and Lucy Tucker, Agatha Priddy, Fannie Priddy, the writer, Lnla Reid, Tabitha Throckmorton, Mr. Noel Terry and Bertie Oakley, Willie, Frank, Geo., Rob*, aid Noah Priddy and several others.v It was greatly enjoyed by all.Wishing the Reporter muob success.FARMER GIRL.
