Last Rites Said For Maty FriesLast rites for Mary Ann Fries were said Dec. 23 in Estherville from St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Mrs. Fries, 92, died Dec. 20 at Rosewood Manor at Estherville.The Rev. Father Albert O. Grendler and the Rev. Msgr. C. E. Farreily officiated over services. The Rosary was recited at Fuhrman Funeral Home the evening of Dec. 22. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Em-metsburg.Mary Ann Fries, daughter of William and Josephine Korleski, was born Nov. 17, 1883 at Campus, III. She moved to Palo Alto County with her parents as a young girl and received her education in the local schools.1 n 1904 she was married to Ross Fries at Campus, Hi. The couple farmed in that area for a few years and then farmed in the Palo Alto County area. Following Mr. Fries' death in 1942, she lived in Emmefsburg for several years and has lived in Estherville for the past 25 years.She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Estherville, the AJtar and Rosary Society and St. Ann's Circle.Mrs. Fries is survived by seven sons: Francis of Kandyhohl,Minn., Howard of Emmefsburg, William of Armstrong, Earl of Estherville, Harold of Danville, III., Robert of Bloomington, 111., and Vincent of Emmetsburg; three daughters: Emily Fries of Estherville, Mrs. R. J. (Josephine) Young of Aigona, and Mrs. Oscar (Geraldine) Wiedenfelier of LeMars.Also surviving are 31 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Agnes Doerning and Mrs. Julia Farrell, both of Emmetsburg, Mrs. Rose LaughlJri of Omaha, Nebr., and Mrs. Anna Castlemaine of Estherville; and one brother, William Korleski of Downey, Calif.Pallbearers were John Fries, Richard Fries, Robert Fries,Thomas Fries, Vernon Fries and Chris Wiedenfelier.
