The coach who takes charge of the Abraham’ Lin coln lgh school football quad in South Des Moinea when the new high ‘school ia opened, will have 4, number of good players to work with acciding to talk among South Side football fans. Ly Many members of the South Side and Sevastopol Athlete or football teams and players on other local high School tlama have announced their inten tion of enrolling when the new school opens. Some of the players who are expected to attend Lincoln High are Hal Wright, Vern Southern, A. Crist, Campbell, Frank Hurgon, Tony Gordaro, Lao Tyler, Richard Campball, ‘Raymond Windmiller, Lyan Smith, Lloyd Cook, Tom Nand and Lloyd Cook, “it. is said that Davis and McKowen of Last High and Jon Tyler and Hinshaw of the Des Moinean Catholic academy also plan to enter the’new school. ' The South Side school building is, proceeding on gchadule and barring the unforseent should be ready for occupancy by next fall, in the opinion of Superin tendent of Schoola J. W. Studebaker, : Many of the above named players who expect to enroll at Lincoln have played on amateur teams in this city, It is not known whether or not this will affect their eligibility. Superintendent Studebaker said that the school board would consider this matter at later date. . . While the enrollment at Lincoln High is not ex ppected to be large at the start, the South Siders will offer their team the greatest kind of support, ac cording to South Side fang.
