FOR A DALY MEMORIAL.Committees for Each County Appointed.THE FLATHEAD MENAre Prominent and Representative Plans of the Association Fully Set Forth.There was a good attendance at the meeting of the Marcus Daly Mem* orial association held in the Miners' union hall last night. Heretofore the society has only been working as .1 temporary organization, made up of eleven members of the Miners' union and ten representative business men. most of the latter belonging to the Business Men's association. The meeting held last night was for the purpose of putting matters on a more permanent basis.W. H. Eddy, chairman of the original committee of twenty-one. who is also president of the Miners' union, presided last night. The first order of business was tin* presentation of the report of the committee on per manent order of business of which ex-Judge \V. O. Speer is chairman. Judge Speer said that he had prepared a constitution and by-laws, and owing to Mr. Henncssy having some few alterations to suggest, he ba«l turned over the copies lie had prepared to Mr Henncssy, and lie suggested that that gentleman read them. The constitution provides for the election of officers and an executive committee of fifteen members. The name of the organization was officially declared to he the Marcus Daly Memorial association. The payment of will entitle people to become members of the organization, and all those paying that amount will be presented with a handsome certificate of membership of the kind that will he suitable for framing. The constitution also provides that meetings of the members of the association shall be held upon tin* first Mondays of January and July of each year.Mr Henncssy, however, pointed out that after the monument was erected it would be necessary for the association to take some action in the matter of caring for it and ho therefore thought it would be well to let the provision stand, which was agreed to.Senator Thomas F. Courtney, chairman of the committee on address. reported progress and asked for further time. The senator said his committee desired to get up an address that would do as nearly as possible credit to tin' subject and he promised that it would be ready by the first of the year.Rod D.
