The Wednesday afternoon tour, planned and executed by the Chamber of Commerce, was the brainchild of George Watson, and tlien carried out under the auspices of tlie public affairs committee headed by Vernon Watson.The tour began at the city recreation building and proceeded, via Ling-Temco-Vouglit and YMCA buses, south and east to a proposed park and recreation area east of SE 14th Street.City Manager Cliff Johnson and Mayor Curt Waggoner explained plans to the “tourists as they viewed tlie future location of Highway 303*s extension east from Arlington.
