Cleaner Air Committee To Operate Car Pools To Municipal CourtA suit against a building which has* been reported over a period of five years for smoke violations will come up for its second hearing in Municipal Court.The Cleaner Air Committee has in its file smoke complaintsabout this building, 5514 Black-stone, sent in by 20 separate individuals and estimates that as many more complaints have been made to the alderman's office or directly to the Department of Air Pollution Control. Nearby residents have called the police and even the Fire Department because of burning cinders from the building’s chimney.The Cleaner Air Committee is organizing car pools for attendance of neighbors of the building at the hearing.
