MRS. EMMA IDESSA BURDMrs. Emma Idessa Burd, widow of the late Dr. W. S. Burd, for many years a dentist of the borough, who previously died from a heart attack while on a fishing trip, October 11, 1918, passed away at her home 527 Main street recently, following an illness of several months.She was born December 1, 1862. at Wolfe’s store, Centre county, a daugter of Henry and Katherine | (Gramley) Wolfe. Many years ago i the family moved to Bellwood, which has since been her place of residence. The only survivor is a son, Stanley K. Burd.The deceased was a member of Grace Lutheran church on North Cambria street and active in church work, especially as a teacher in the Sunday school and she continued her activity as long as her health i eemitted.Funeral services were held from the Fuoss Mortuary on Main street Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock and were conducted by her pastor, Kev. R. P. Knobel, followed by interment in Logan Valley cemetery.
