Private C. C. Appleby of Billings, who on February 19 was discharged from the army service at Camp -Lewis, was in Hardin last evening en route to St, Xavier to visit his sister, Mrs. William M. Green. Private Appleby saw nearly seven months’ active service in France in Company A, 362nd infantry. He was wounded by schrapnel in the battle of Ar-gonne forest and the war department erroneously reported him as killed in action. He has fully recovered from his wounds and is looking fine as a fiddle. He tells many interesting stories of his experiences while on the other side of the big pond. . •
