John Clements, captain of No. 3 hose company, Richmond fire department, stationed at the North A street house, turned in his resignation Saturday and left the city, so Chief Miller has been informed. A charge of having defrauded the Richmond light, Heat and Power com pany by tapping one of its gas mains at his residence, two years ago, Was pending against Clements in city court. At the same time that Clements sent in his resignation Mrs. May Yingling, 708% Main street, who figured promi nently as Clements’ alleged affinity in his suit for divorce, tried recently, left the city and it is reported she intends to locate at Greenville, O. Clements effort to obtain a divorce proved fruit less. He was one of the best know members of the fire department, hav ing been in the service for seventeen years. No one has been appointed to fill the vacancy caused by his resigna tion. John Coyle will probably be ap pointed captain of the No. 3 company. PALLADIUM WANT ADS PAY
