The following resolution was hi troll need and adopted:WllEllEAS. We. the workingmen incouncil assembled. believe the affairs of the township have not been honestly conducted and that the party in power never has. and we believe never intends to purify Use politics of the township, therefore be it lirsnh'td. That we believe it our duly to put up a ticket ol' honest, upright laboring men. and that we give the ticket our undivided support, and furthermore that we form ourselves into a political club.Short talks were made by Messrs. John MoKvoy. Diilehunt. 1). E. Votes. F. J3. Chambers. John Ditmeen. Ilecd and others. All approved the course to lie pursued as marked out in the above resolution. All laboring men were, urged to exert themselves in bringing about the results desired.The temporary officers were unanimously made the permanent officers of the association or party.The following gentlemen were appointed as an active working and advisory committee: Frank Butts, Bert Stewart. F. B. Chambers. W. II. Morgan. Jett, Heed and .John Owens.A paper bearing the following beading was circulated among those present: *v We, the undersigned voters of Decatm- township, agree to become members and aid the workingmen's political organization and to do our best to sciire the nomination of upright men by our party and supportthe same. “The paper was signed by seventy-six persons, which was about the number in attendance.
