WELLSBURG — A second charge of entering without breaking has been filed against Scott Sprouse, 18, of Wellsburg, who is being held in the Brooke County Jail on a charge of being absent without leave from the US. Navy and an entering without breaking charge, which has been bound over to the Monday grand jury. Sprouse appeared before Magistrate Nat Marino Wed nesday on a charge of entering without breaking, filed by Brooke County sheriff's deputies in connection with theft of an American flag and $5, plus some coins, from the residence of the Rev. James Earle Norton on Washington Pike Feb. 15 Sprouse was bound over to the grand jury for entering the Joseph Campinelli residence at 2119 Pleasant Ave., Feb. 17, and removing a cigarette lighter valued at $32 and $10 in change. Sprouse is being held in the county jail in lieu of $2,000 bond on the charges. Band Concert To Be Held A band concert will be held at Jewett-Scio Middle School Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. The sixth, seventh and eight grade, and high school bands will perform. Darryl M. Shekas will direct the sixth grade and the seventh and eighth grade bands and the high school band will be directed by Dennis Kovarik.
