Sealy Oil Lease ten miles south of Kermit, Texas.A Ward County justice of the peace pronounced Choate dead at 1:45 a.m. February 20, attributing death toa heart attack.Funeral services for Choate, 65, were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the North-side Baptist Church of Kermit, with Reverend R. W. Campbell, pastor, officiating.Interment was in the Lov-ington, New Mexico cemetery.An independent oil field pumper, Choate lived at 752 North Cedar in Kermit. A resident of Winkler County for thirteen years, he hadmoved to Kermit from Wink, Texas.Choate was born January 1, 1907, at Dutch Mills, Arkansas. He married the former Hazel Lee Shelton October 13, 1928, at Lindsay, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Choate, Kermit; two sons, Kenneth Choate, Lovington, New Mexico; and James Choate, Plano; one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Lee Arthur, Alice; three brothers, Ned Choate and Ray Choate, both of La Habre, California; and Woodrow Choate, Lincoln, Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Maud Whitely, Marlow, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Dora L.
