On Proposed NeProgram Prepared By Wayne State UniversityI A i'our-part television series I on the proposed new slate constitution will be presented over Stations WWTV, Channel 9, Cadillac-Traverse City, and WWUP-TV, Channel 10, Saule I Ste. Marie.Prepared by Wayne State University, the programs will be telecast over the two stations during the time normally devot-I ed to the weekly public service show, “Eye on Michigan, from 7:00 to 7:30 p. m. each Wednesday, beginning February 27 and concluding March 20.Programs in the series will present the issues involved in the new state constitution, how they arose, the possible alternative solutions, and the solutions offered by the proposed constitution. The subject matter has been organized into one background, followed by a show on each of the three traditional tranches of government.The background program will feature Dr. Alfred H. Kelly, chairman of the history department at Wayne State University, and Professor Charles Quick of the university’s law school.Featured on the‘%econd program, which deals with the judicial system, will be Circuit Judge Horace Gilmore and Pro fessor Charles W. Its participants will be John B Martin, chairman of the committee on executive powers at the convention, and Professor Charles Schultz of Wayne State’s department of political science.Annual Blue And Gold Banquet Thurs., Feb. 28The Shepherd area Cub Scouts and Webelos will hold their annual Blue and Gold Banquet Thursday evening, February 28 at the Shepherd High School Cafeteria. The banquet will be served at 6:00 p. m. to Cub Scouts, parents, honored guests and the Rotary Club, sponsors jf the Scout movement in Shepherd.The American Eagle and Shield, made up in Cub Scout colors, will be used to obtain he natriotic theme the boys are aiming for.Master of Ceremonies, Newton Huffine, will introduce special guests of honor. There will be a very impressive ceremony as some of the Webeloes become Scouts.
