Reds Shake Hands With the President Prosperity Outlook Washington, Feb. 27.—Sioux Indians from the Pine Ridge reservation of South Dakota shook hands with Presi dent Wilson and Secretary Bryan. They were presented by Senator Sterling. In the delegation were High Pipe, Brave Bird, Hollow Horn Bear, son of the late chief, who died there dur ing the inauguration of President Wilson, Quick Bear, Henry Horse, Looking, Charles Tackett Wm. Than der Hawk and Standing Elk. James J. Hill talked with Presi dent Wilson about conditions and said afterwards that the outlook for pros perty was bright, and that things were moving. Mr. Bill was mentioned recently as a probable selection for the federal reserve board, but administration officials said he was not being con sidered in that connection. It was learned at the White House later that Mr. Hill advocated a rigid regulation by the government, not only of railway securities but of industrial securities. Me favored also, it was said, no early termination of pending or proposed government investigation of railroads so as to eliminate uncer tainty in the railway world as early as possible. Just what opinion the president expressed on those subjects was not divulged.
