But the apparent gain was delusive and he soon began to fail, A few weeks ago, In response to a telegram from his physician, bia father went to him and brought him back as far as Port Townsend, where the eru* came, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Clough. The funeral service was held at the Catholic church in the valley Saturday afternoon and the interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
