Pleasant, was the scene of a very pleasant party, Thursday evening.his fellow Knights of Damon Lodge K. of P. and a few friends giying him a surprise party as a farewell testimonial of their friendship, Mr. Swartz having decided to leave this neighborhood, will soon move to a farm near Philadelphia: The evening was very delightful I jApent, the orchestra being present, added much to the evening’s pleasure. As the company gathered around the festive board, Mr. Gilpin Massey, the orchestra bard, read the following poem written for the occasion which was followed by speeches from a number present: Among the guests were.
