R ESPONSI BILIT Y FIX ED.Covrosr’i Ytrdlet in the BlUott-Osborn Shooting Cum*Columbus, 0.f Feb. 87.—At 10 o’cIock ' R1 last night Coroner Egan returned hia C1 verdict in the inquest on the two men shotby the Elliotts Monday. It is as follows: RAfter having first examined the bodies, I( received the post-mortem statements and heart! the testimony, I do find that Wash' ington L, Hughes came to his death by a pistol shot wound, the ball entering the ^ brain over the inner end of the right “ eyebrow, and fired while in the right hand C of William J. Elliott; that aaid pistol shot ^ was fixed by said William J. Elliott, while o the aaid William J. Elliott was feloniously, ti purposely, with premeditation and malice a aforethought, engaged in shooting at one a Albert C. Osborn, the said Albert C. Oa» a born feloniously, purposely, with premeditation and malice aforethought to kill V and murder. *3 I do further find that said William J. a 1 Elliott did not intend to shoot at and kill 1 and murder said Washington Li Hughes. * * And I do also find that said Albert O. ?• Osborn came to his death by a pistol shot * I wound, the ball entering the left side of { the chest and passing through the pulmonary artery at its junction with the heart, j ana through the lung, and fired while h \ held in the right hand of Patrick J j Elliott. I do further find that said Pat- ] rick J* Elliott was aided and abetted in { the killing of Albert lt;X Osborn by William ( j.
