J. Perrine and his little daughter are recovering. The doctor does not seem to enjoy taking as well as he does administering his own medicine.FrthienThviethlt;waan:ahThe ladies of both the Presbyterian and Methodist churches were disappointed on last Thursday, the pouring rain rendering it impossible to attend the missionary society at Mrs. Walton’s or the sewing society at Mrs. Pasley’s.On Wednesday evening, Feb. 25th.the ladies of the M. E. church willgive an entertainment and sapper; program for the evening to consist of recitations, music by the band and the Humanum Organum ^followed by supper and a general good time. 'Paul Eberliart and family are moving to Lawrence this week. Their departure is very much regretted byVinland people. Miss Kittie’s help as organist and as one of the leading cornet players in the band will be greatly missed. Always modest and unassuming, patient and cheerful, she has endeared herself to the young j people, and they are very loath to part with her.IFri£staIa vJstaBweaancwe:to\hisThe fourth of the library’s course of lectures was given on last Friday night. It was well attended and much enjoyed. These lectures or talks are a rare treat and demonstrate the truth of Prof. Canfield’s statement, that these were bright fellows and had Something to say.
